I am an artist and a photographer.  I really think I inherited everything from my grandparents.  My dad's mom was an artist and used to
sell her paintings and his dad was a drafter and liked to draw.  My mom's dad was a carpenter and designed furniture and was a
photographer.  My mom's mom did everything (I am just like her.)  She drew, painted, made jewelry, invented things and sold it all in
these local markets.  It's really cool that they all gave me their genes HAHA!  I went to South Highlands Art and Magnet Institute, and
that is where my love and passion for art and photography began.

When I was 10 years old, my grandfather, who was also a photographer, bought me a camera for Christmas. i remember he showed me
his camera in front of his house - he had a HUGE lens on it and said, "look, you can see the houses down the road." back then, that
was amazing.  I was on the yearbook staff and ran around taking pictures of all of the events.  The first photograph I remember getting
excited about was my friend Donald jump-roping.  I caught him in mid-air with this smile on his face. I remembered that I was soooo
excited that I got that shot. I was really excited when we got to use it for the yearbook. I had poetry and other things published prior to
this, but to see that photo in the yearbook changed me. I thought this is the coolest thing - EVER!

That year I also had my artwork picked by the staff to go on the front cover of the yearbook. I remember they announced it over the
intercom, I was sooo tickled.

Boy, what a GREAT year! That was the year that my teachers shaped my life, seriously, I have a lot of respect and love for them. I owe
them so much. So as you see, I was in love with art, and photography - BUT when digital photography came out - oh boy - I was in love.
photography with the world, and I am thankful that the world lets me.
THE SKINNY

I love music.  Seriously, when I am photographing a session or a wedding is the ONLY time of day I don't listen to music.  I listen to it
when I sleep, when I get ready, when I work, in the car... it's always playing.

I collect vintage things, but LOVE milk glass and I collect really cool blue or white glass bottles, vases and bowls.

I am a computer geek & I tutored college algebra.

I like to camp and fish at night for catfish, but haven't since I moved from Louisiana.

I always wanted to be an Art Teacher.  I played "school"  in the summer as a kid with the leftover worksheets from class<---I'm a nerd.

I have to be doing something at all times - I can't sit still very long.

I enjoy doing anything that helps people.  I love to see people happy, and if they aren't I try to make them happy!!

Steven is my best friend - I tell him my hopes, my secrets, my fears and my dreams.

In school I was pitcher and played first base in softball, ran track, played some Bball and won multiple best of show & first place in the
state awards for art locally and for the entire state.  I wish I was that cool now. ; D

I am young enough to have fun & enjoy life, old enough to know life is too short to waste and
not leave a mark in this world.
